Franciacorta Blanc de Blancs Marchese Antinori NV
Producer: Tenuta Montenisa
Wine Critic & Score: Wine Advocate – 91 Points
Not only Prosecco: in Italy they also make wonderful examples of “traditional method” sparkling wines and Franciacorta is their very best area for this style of bubbles. Antinori was a pioneer: they released their first “Gran Spumante” in 1908 in Tuscany, before moving to Franciacorta in 1999.
Only made with white varieties (Chardonnay and Pinot Blanc), the wine has a creamy and lively texture. It can be enjoyed even as an after dinner drink.
